V.     We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
R.    because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world.

V.    Jesus, you prayed for your enemies.
R.    Have mercy on us.
V.    Jesus, you promised the good thief that he would be with you in paradise.
R.    Have mercy on us.
V.    Jesus, you gave your Mother into the care of your beloved disciple.
R.    Have mercy on us.
V.    Jesus, into your Father’s hands you commended your spirit.
R.    Have mercy on us.
V.    As you walk through the valley of death, no evil shall you fear.
R.    You are there to give us comfort.    
V.    Bless all bishops and priests whom you have chosen.
R.    Give them the grace to love and help your chosen people.
